A “summer” school 4th-8th of October 2021 organised by the EU COST network ‘Language In The Human-Machine Era’ (LITHME). This one-week event will consist of lectures, practical workshops and discussions covering various topics in linguistics, language research and language technology, with a specific focus on new and emerging technologies and their effect. The training school will be held in Ávila, Spain (or online, depending on the Covid situation). The application period for fully funded places (no participation fee, travel and accommodation covered by COST) is now open until 3 May, 2021. The applications are open for anyone affiliated with a university within COST member countries; applications from postgraduate students and early-career researchers will be prioritised. See further information in the attached link! I am one of the management committee members of LITHME, and can also answer some questions.
